PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable polyester-based film having excellent properties even if material reclaimed from PET bottles is used in large quantity. SOLUTION: The heat shrinkable polyester-based film of monolayer structure contains≥40 mass% of material reclaimed from PET bottles. When a square sample of 10 cm×10 cm cut out of the film is immersed in hot water at 98°C for 10 s, pulled up, immersed in water at 25°C for 10 s and pulled up, the sample has a heat shrinkage ratio in a main shrinkage direction of 50-75% and a degree of planar orientation AO of≥0.055. The polyester constituting the film contains ethylene terephthalate units in the largest number in all units and the film has intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.55-0.63 dL/g.
