PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which allows the new design mode, without making pattern connection parts of a scattering plate visible. SOLUTION: The lighting device for vehicle includes a light source 17 and a scattering plate 14 arranged in front of the light source 17 along the light projection direction. The beam 19 of the light source 17 penetrates the scattering plate. At this point, it is scattered in a specified characteristics by optical elements provided in pattern. The optical elements of the scattering plate 14 have a first waveform structure consisting of scattering waveform patterns 30 and condensing waveform patterns 32, continuing alternately.
