PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel provided with a cam cylinder for moving a lens frame in the direction of optical axis and capable of preventing the cam cylinder from playing in the direction of optical axis while simplifying its structure. SOLUTION: This lens barrel is provided with a fixed cylinder 20, the lens frames 41, 51, the cam cylinder 30 arranged on an inner side of the fixed cylinder, payed out in the direction of optical axis, and performing the cam action for moving the lens frames in the direction of optical axis, and a guide cylinder 70 for guiding the lens frames into the direction of optical axis while restraining rotation around the optical axis. The guide cylinder has an elastically deformable elastic piece 74 integrally to energize the cam cylinder toward one direction of optical axis. Consequently, the cam cylinder payed out in the direction of optical axis is energized into one direction of optical axis by the elastic piece 74 of the guide cylinder to restrain its play in the direction of optical axis. By providing the elastic piece on the guide cylinder in this way, play of the cam cylinder can be prevented by a simple configuration without increasing the number of parts.
