<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image burn-in in a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: A display system includes: a liquid crystal panel which forms images; a timing-generating circuit which designates the horizontal position and vertical position of an image formed by the liquid crystal panel; and a time-measuring counter which detects the elapse of a prescribed time length.
