PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image file creation device etc. which create an image file so that sub-image data in a multi-image file may be restored as much as possible. SOLUTION: The image file creation device 1 is provided with: an image data discrimination part 3 which discriminates whether or not one or more pieces of sub-image data can be generated from RAW data which is a source for generating main image data based on a sub-image generation condition which is the condition under which the pieces of sub-image data are generated; and an image file creation part 2 which creates one multi-image file including the one or more pieces of sub-image data and the main image data and creates a RAW file including the RAW data by being associated with the multi-image file when it is discriminated that the one or more pieces of sub-image data can be generated by the image data discrimination part 3.
