PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a martial art shoe suitable for training and athletic meetings in the martial art assuming the actual fights. SOLUTION: The martial art shoe 1 includes an upper portion 2 to cover the instep of a wearer's foot and a bottom portion 3 to receive the wearer's foot under the upper portion 2. An impact cushioning material 12 capable of cushioning the impact applied to the instep of the wearer's foot is disposed in the upper portion 2. The martial art shoe further has a lining material 13 attached to the back side of the upper portion to form a space 14 between the lining material and the upper portion 2.
