PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packed food product sterilization method and a filling system having high sterilization effect on a food product composed of a solid/liquid mixture and simplifying the total process and apparatus. SOLUTION: A presealing lid PS having dimensions to cover the opening of a cup filled with a solid material such as a lid cut into dimensions corresponding to the outer circumference of the flange of the cup is fixed and held at a cup receiver CH with a pressing bolt 31a at a position to cover the opening of the cup without being welded to the cup flange part CF while keeping a ventilation state between a head space of the cup and the inner atmosphere of a sterilization chamber, and the content is sterilized with steam.
