PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method of a defective display cell in a display panel that can enlarge the accuracy tolerance of a laser irradiation position. SOLUTION: The repair method of the defective display cell in the plasma display panel includes an inspection process for detecting a bright point defective display cell, and a repair process for carrying out dark pointing treatment of the bright point defective display cell with laser beams for repair. In the repair process, a display color of the display cell is detected prior to the dark pointing treatment. Cut information having coordinate information CI1 on which position in the plasma display panel the bright point defective display cell detected in the inspection process exits, and display color information CI2 on what color the bright point defective display cell is, is thereby acquired. Consequently, the tolerance of positioning accuracy of the plasma display panel in a repair apparatus can be enlarged in comparison with the case of carrying out dark pointing treatment based on only the coordinate information CI1 of the defective display cell.
