PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a high-image-quality scan by shortening waiting time for the scan of a user as much as possible. SOLUTION: In this image reader having a read head for reading an image, the read head includes: a line sensor composed of a plurality of pixel sensors arranged in a linear form; a timing signal generation circuit generating a timing signal for driving the line sensor; and one or more heat generators arranged away from the timing signal generation circuit.
