PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor module having improved reading property by positioning a sensor chip on a lens unit in a highly accurate manner so that the sensor chip has no reading irregularity. SOLUTION: The image sensor module A includes: a linear light source unit 2; a lens unit 3 for focusing light which is emitted from the linear light source unit 2 and reflected from an image reading region; a case 1 having a closing portion 11 extending in a main scanning direction x for closing a space V as the moving passage of the light focused by the lens unit 3; and a substrate 5 having the sensor chip 4 mounted on a surface 5a for outputting a predetermined signal when receiving the light. The substrate 5 is mounted on the case 1 with the surface 5a directed to the space V. In the surface 5a, a groove 51 is formed extending in the main scanning direction x.
