PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in effect of presentation given to an audience while improving usability of an equipment user side. SOLUTION: When a main switch 110S is turned on to make equipment settings of an imaging apparatus 100, a composite image of an image of a current input source as a background image, and a menu image is displayed on a monitor 114 attached to the imaging apparatus 100. Consequently, a device user can view a command icon included in the menu image while viewing the input source image as the background image.
