The engine has an exhaust gas recirculation pipeline (1) over which the exhaust gas is removed from an exhaust gas system. The exhaust gas is introduced into a fresh air pipeline (3) over the exhaust gas recirculation pipeline in a flow direction of the fresh gases before a compressor (2). The recirculation pipeline is arranged in the compressor at the air pipeline, where the external diameter of the exhaust gas recirculation pipeline is lesser than that of the fresh air pipeline. The external diameter of the recirculation pipeline is 50 percentage of the internal diameter of the air pipeline.
