<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, compact inverter device with a high-density electronic circuit, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter device includes a first base board 1 with a converter portion and an inverter portion mounted thereon; a second base board 2; and fixing members 7, 8 which position and fix the first base board 1 and the second board 2 each other. A base drive circuit to drive the inverter portion is mounted on the second base board, and its one edge is made adjacent to one edge of the first base board 1.
