PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the problem of a color image forming apparatus that toner with the lowest fluidity is transported by a toner transport section that has the longest transport path, which requires a long time to start an image forming operation in an initial toner injection period, for which toner in a quantity enabling development is injected into a developing unit first time. SOLUTION: In a color image forming apparatus has a toner transport section for each color, the toner transport section conveys toner, discharged from a toner bottle, to a corresponding developing unit or a hopper disposed in contact with the developing unit, and in the color image forming apparatus, the toner with the color that has the highest fluidity of all the colors is conveyed by the toner transport section that has the longest transport path.
