PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muscle-power assisting device which enables smooth bending or extending movements of a joint even when a rotation axis of the joint is misaligned with a rotation axis of a wearing device and does not impose an excessive burden on a user. SOLUTION: The muscle-power assisting device in this invention is equipped with a first wearing device 10 disposed along one bone of the joint, a second wearing device 20 disposed along the other bone of the joint, and an artificial muscle 30 with one end 31 provided on the first wearing device 10 and the other end 32 provided on the second wearing device 20. An actuator which stretches and contracts by supplying or discharging a gas, a liquid, a solid substance, or the mixture thereof is used as the artificial muscle 30 to support movements of elbows, knees, or wrists of a user. The muscle-power assisting device is characterized by connecting the first wearing device 10 with the second wearing device 20 by a spring joint 70 for which a coil spring is used.
