PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator allowing an user to easily demount and mount a return duct by hands, and to clean and wash the inside of the duct to satisfy user needs for maintaining hygiene. SOLUTION: This refrigerator is composed of a heat insulating housing 101 provided with a plurality of storage compartments, a refrigerating compartment 106 is disposed in an upper portion, a freezing compartment 105 is disposed in a lower part of the refrigerating compartment 106, the return duct 113 from the refrigerating compartment 106 to a cooler 103 is disposed in a cooling compartment 104, and the return duct 113 can be mounted and demounted only by a mounting/demounting means 117 without using a tool. Thus the user can demount and mount the return duct 113 to clean or wash the inside of the return duct 113 to eliminate dirt such as food juice and foreign matters which may be mixed inside, and to prevent propagation and diffusion of bacteria and the like so that the refrigerator is hygienically kept.
