BIO-MARKER FOR DIAGNOSING DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

A protein which is used as a marker for diagnosing diabetic retinopathy is provided to diagnose diabetic retinopathy in tear of patients with diabetic retinopathy by increasing or decreasing the expression of the protein. A biomarker for diagnosing diabetic retinopathy comprises a protein of which expression is relatively increased in tear of patients with diabetic retinopathy. The protein of biomarker comprises: a DJ-1 protein which has trypsin lysis sequence of the sequence numbers 1 and 2, 24-26 kDa of molecular weight and 5.83-6.83 of pI value; and a beta 2-microglobulin (B2M) having 15-17 kDa of molecular weight and 5.27-6.27 of pI. The biomarker for diagnosing diabetic retinopathy also comprises a protein of which expression is relatively decreased in tear of patients with diabetic retinopathy. A agent for diagnosing diabetic retinopathy comprises the biomarker protein or antibody which specifically binds to its immunogenic fragment as an active ingredient. The antibody is monoclonal antibody.
