<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a printing head in a small space around a peripheral length of a photoreceptor drum of an image formation device by mounting an LED array and a driving circuit on a substrate of a small width area. <P>SOLUTION: An LED circuit board for exposing a photoreceptor, and a lens array for imaging light irradiated from the board onto the photoreceptor are set. LED array chips and driver chips are set on the board. The LED array chip includes a plurality of LEDs, and a plurality of thyristors. The thyristors set corresponding to the plurality of LEDs have input terminals for inputting power from a power supply, output terminals for outputting the inputted power, and control terminals for inputting a control signal to output the inputted power from the output terminals. The thyristor holds an on state when the control signal is inputted to the control terminal, and makes each LED an illuminable state. The driver chips arranged on an extension line in an arrangement direction of the LED array chips generate a driving signal for sequentially turning on the thyristors and a lighting signal for making the LEDs emit light, and output the signals to the LED array chips. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
