METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OUTPUTTING UI EVENT OF 3RDPARTY DEVICE IN HOME NETWORK

A method and a device for processing an event of a third device in a home network supporting a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) remote protocol are provided to transfer various events occurring in an RUI(Remote User Interface) server regardless of a place by using no additional equipment. An RUI server(20) stores an event message of a third device. The RUI server checks whether an RUI client(10) exists in a home network or not. When the RUI client exists in the home network, the RUI server transmits the event message to the RUI client. When the RUI client does not exist in the home network, the RUI server transmits the event message to a predetermined I-box(30). The I-box transmits the event message to the RUI client existing outside of the home network by using an external network.
