An external IPTV receiving device is provided to improve conditional reception, security, authentication and video processing capabilities as well as graphic and general operation capability. An external IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) receiving device(120) comprises a high definition(HD) video processor, an interface unit, a security processor, and an authentication processor. The HD video processor performs decoding of a high compression HD video by receiving an IPTV service. The interface unit is connected to a terminal(130). The interface unit provides the IPTV service, decoded in the HD video processor, through the terminal. The security processor processes security for the received IPTV service. The authentication processor performs authentication for a legal user. |
