An aqueous adhesive composition, its preparation method, and an adhesive film containing the composition are provided to prevent the indoor environmental contamination by preventing the discharge of contaminant due to an organic solvent. An aqueous adhesive composition comprises a water dispersible acrylic copolymer which comprises a (meth)acrylate monomer, and a monomer containing flame retardant component capable of copolymerizing with the monomer. The content of the (meth)acrylate monomer is 30 ~ 50 parts by weight and the content of the monomer containing flame retardant is 0.01 ~ 10 parts by weight in the acrylic copolymer.
