A compressor is provided to determine whether a circuit is normally operated and whether a protection operation is required without using an external inspection device. A compressor includes a power supply(31), a motor(32) and a controller(33). The power supply receives AC voltage and transforms the AC voltage to generate DC voltage. The motor receives power from the power supply and operates by the power. The controller determines whether circuits of the power supply and the motor are poor and whether a protection operation is required according to information of the power supply, information of the motor or stroke information of the compressor.
