METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF STROKE USING HEMOGLOBIN-ALPHA SUBUNIT AS BIO-MARKER

A diagnosis method of stroke using a hemoglobin-alpha subunit as a bio-marker is provided to determine the concentration of the hemoglobin-alpha subunit in a serum and diagnose stroke quickly and accurately.. A marker for diagnosing stroke comprises a hemoglobin-alpha subunit. The expression of hemoglobin-alpha subunit increases in a patient who is suffering from stroke accompanying arterioles obstruction. A composition for detecting the marker comprises an antibody which specifically binds to the hemoglobin-alpha subunit. The antibody is one selected from a polyclonal antibody, monoclonal antibody and their fragment. A method for diagnosing stroke using the hemoglobin-alpha subunit as a bio-marker comprises; a step of measuring the expression amount of hemoglobin-alpha subunit in blood sample from a person who has pre-symptoms of stroke accompanying arteriolar obliterans; and a step of comparing the expression amount between the person who has pre-symptoms of stroke and normal person.
