PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide type towel hanger which makes it easy to hang a towel and for which a towel hanging bar can be supported and fixed with high strength. SOLUTION: The slide type towel hanger is provided with towel hanging bars 1 and 2 where a towel is to be hung, a support part 3 for supporting one end of the towel hanging bars 1 and 2, and a slide mechanism composed of a rail part 4 fixed to a wall surface and a slide part 5 slidably engaged with the rail part 4, to which the support part 3 is attached and fixed. The support part 3 is formed in a U shape on the cross section from an attaching plate 31 attached and fixed to the slide part 5 and a pair of side plates 32 and 33 respectively erected to the front from both side ends of the attaching plate 31. One end of the towel hanging bars 1 and 2 is supported and fixed by the pair of side plates 32 and 33 of the support part 3, and the towel hanging bars 1 and 2 are supported by the support part 3 in a cantilever manner.
