A method for realizing offering a power-off alarm of a transmission apparatus includes the steps: when a transmission apparatus's external power is broken off, its internal power module supplies power function and generates a power-off alarm signal to notify a control module of the transmission apparatus; after the control module receives the power-off alarm signal, it transmits a predetermined power-off alarm message to a network element management module; after receiving the power-off alarm message, the network element management module reports it to a network management system; the network management system receives the power-off alarm message and performs power-off alarm based on the message. The method makes it can be realized that an alarm is reported to the network management by applying power using the internal power module after the power of a transmission apparatus has been abnormally broken off and it can locate the device breaking due to the power-off accurately based on the power-off alarm message. The reliability and fast response requirements of users to the device are successfully satisfied, the alarm management function and the maintenance function of the transmission apparatus are enhanced and the device maintenance cost is reduced.
