The method involves installing a database on a central data processing device (14). Decentralized data recording is performed by a local data processing device (10) e.g. notebook computer. Another database is installed on the local data processing device. Synchronization of parts of the former database and the latter database is made automatically before and/or after the decentralized data recording by a data and/or communications network, where doublets are identified during the synchronization of parts of the databases. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement comprising a central data processing device (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for managing decentralized recorded data (3) a computer-readable storage medium comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for managing decentralized recorded data.
