PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update information showing a state of transmitted mail without delivering a response mail of delivery confirmation to a reception box by receiving the response mail at an alternative mail address for management. SOLUTION: When a mail client transmits a mail, the mail client makes a response mail by DSN (Delivery Status Notification) and MDN (Mail Disposition Notification) arrive at the alternative mail address for management by using not a mail address of a sender himself/herself but the alternative mail address for management in a sender field. When an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)server processes the mail arriving at the alternative mail address for management, the mail is reflected on a state of a corresponding transmitted mail and is not delivered to the reception box.
