<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recorder equipped with an overwrite prevention function with a small circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: The data recorder is equipped with: a resistance-change memory element to which writing is performed in a first state by providing a first electrical signal exceeding a first threshold, and writing is performed in a second state by providing a second electrical signal which has a polarity opposite to that of the first electrical signal and exceeds a second threshold, and which has first and second terminals; first and second power source circuits which supply the first and second electrical signals to the first and second terminals respectively; a first detecting circuit which is connected to the first terminal and detects the first state of the memory element with the electrical signal supplied to the first terminal; a second detecting circuit which is connected to the second terminal and detects the second state of the memory element with the electrical signal supplied to the second terminal; and a control circuit which controls output of the first and second power source circuits acording to the detection signal of the first and second circuits for preventing overwrite of the resistance change memory element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
