PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is desired to receive a signal from a terminal device, even when transmission timing varies, on the basis of variation in estimation the accuracy of synchronizing timing in the terminal device. SOLUTION: A terminal device to which a time slot is assigned is generating transmission timing for synchronization with a frame of a base station. An RF unit 16 receives a signal from the terminal device in the assigned time slot. A transmission line characteristic estimating unit 26 acquires the characteristics of a transmission line with the terminal device. On the basis of the transmission line characteristics acquired, a parameter-determining unit 28 estimates the transmission timing in the terminal device and sets a synchronizing window, corresponding to the estimated transmission timing. A synchronization processing unit 30 estimates the reception timing, while the synchronizing window is set to the received signal.
