PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an extension of the lifetime of a treatment system and a reduction of maintenance cost by preventing the corrosion of metal parts of an agent addition system and a reaction vessel, such as a kneader, when an aluminum salt is added to ash containing heavy metals to perform the fixing treatment of the heavy metals. SOLUTION: A heavy metal fixing agent for ash treatment contains the aluminum salt and a metal corrosion inhibitor. It is preferable to use aluminum sulfate and/or polyaluminium chloride as the aluminum salt. It is preferable to use a quaternary ammonium salt and an organic sulfur compound together as the metal corrosion inhibitor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
