PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed type constant velocity universal joint capable of reducing surface pressures of contact parts by increasing contact areas between an inner joint member and a retainer. SOLUTION: A longitudinal cross sectional shape of an inner circumference face 4c of the retainer 4 is formed into any of a Gothic arch shape comprised of a pair of opposing arced curves, an elliptical shape, or a parabolic shape, and a longitudinal cross sectional shape of an outer circumference face 2a of the inner joint member is formed like a sphere comprised of a single arc.
