PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational inertia addition device which can enrich a technique to convert the vibration of an object into rotational motion of rotational inertia. SOLUTION: The rotational inertia addition device 3 converts relative movement between a support A2 and a base isolation object A1 movably supported to the support A2 in a horizontal direction into rotational motion of rotational inertia. It comprises a connector 9 movably pivoted to the support A2 around a rotating shaft RA, a movable member 5 connected to the base isolation object A1, an arm 7 formed with a groove part 7a into which the movable member 5 is inserted such that the movable member 5 is movable in one radial direction around the rotating shaft RA to the connector 9 relative to the connector 9 and immovable in a direction orthogonal to a radial direction, and a rotational mass body 29 to which rotation of the connector 9 is transmitted.
