PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair accommodating device for a vehicle capable of enhancing the durability of its mechanism to hold down fast a wheelchair which is accommodated on the vehicular roof. SOLUTION: The wheelchair accommodating device for vehicle is equipped with a stationary frame 12, a movable frame 15, a wheelchair supporting part, a rotating mechanism, and a hanging means. The arrangement further includes a wheelchair securing member 51 coupled with the movable frame 15 with possibility of rotating up and down and holding down from above the wheelchair placed on the wheelchair supporting part while it rotates from the standby position downward to the wheelchair holddown position, a first resilient member 57 to hold the wheelchair securing member 51 in the standby position, and a securing member rotating mechanism 60 installed between the movable frame 15 and the stationary frame 12 and rotating the wheelchair securing member 51 against the resilience of the first resilient member 57 downward to the wheelchair holddown position through the use of the force exerted when the movable frame 15 moves to the accommodation position.
