<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a blank of a continuous medium as narrow as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes a conveying mechanism that conveys a continuous medium, which has a predetermined width in a predetermined direction, in a conveying direction that intersects with the predetermined direction and a head that prints out an image on the medium.
