The present invention provides a toner excellent in light resistance. The toner includes toner base particles, each of which contains a binder resin, a wax and a coloring agent, and a coloring matter compound represented by the general formula (1) is contained as the coloring agent.
wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 6 each independently represent an alkyl group, R 3 to R 5 each independently represent an alkyl group, or satisfy either of the following conditions i) and ii):
i) R 3 and R 4 are bonded to each other, so as to form a cyclic organic functional group containing R 3 , R 4 and a carbon atom bonded simultaneously to R 3 and R 4 , and R 5 represents an alkyl group; and
ii) R 3 to R 5 are bonded to one another, so as to form a cyclic organic functional group containing R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and a carbon atom bonded simultaneously to R 3 to R 5 ; and
R 7 and R 8 each independently represent an alkyl group or an acyl group, or R 7 and R 8 are bonded to each other, so as to form a cyclic organic functional group containing R 7 , R 8 and a nitrogen atom bonded simultaneously to R 7 and R 8 . |
