<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a view environment control system capable of achieving illumination control in an optimal view environment corresponding to a camera work, illumination situation and scene setting situation when photographing a display video image. <P>SOLUTION: A data transmitting device divides video data into segments each constituted of one or more frames of an arbitrary number, adds segment division information indicating the starting time and/or the section of each segment, and at least any one of camera work information in photographing the video data, photographing illumination information, and scene setting information to video data in the unit of a segment and transmits the video data. On the other hand, a data receiving device separates from the video data at least any one of the segment division information, camera work situation, the photographing illumination information and the scene setting information and produces illumination control data for controlling illumination light of an illuminator 38 using these pieces of information.
