PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high quality resin product of good appearance covered with a skin material in which a thin film-like skin material is surely held on a mold and a corner part of the skin material is made to a bent form. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the skin material-covered resin product is carried out as follows. A film 3 trimmed in a predetermined shape as the skin material is set on a mold surface of a first mold 1 by positioning so that it has a protruding end part protruding from a parting plane of the mold, and a second mold 2 is mated with the first mold 1 through a PL plane B to be clamped. A thermoplastic resin is injected into the cavity constituted with the first mold and the second mold. The molded product is taken out by opening the mold, after the thermoplastic resin is solidified. Preferably the skin material is a film having 0.05-0.5 mm thickness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
