PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device to be used for a construction machine and the like, having improved responsiveness and operability with no shock even when a pilot valve is operated suddenly to operate a direction change valve. SOLUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 5 is connected to a hydraulic pilot line 9. An oil chamber 79 of the hydraulic cylinder 5 is formed so that the capacity of the oil chamber 79 is increased with the movement of a piston 71 against the force of a spring 75 as pilot pressure thereon is increased. The moving pressure range of the piston 71 is set to be smaller than the moving pressure range of the direction change valve 11. So, the movement of the piston 71 is started with pressure approximate to the stroke starting pressure of the direction change valve 11, and the movement is ended with pressure lower than the stroke ending pressure of the direction change valve 11.
