A method for providing electronic document relay service is provided to relay an electronic document between a user terminal and an electronic document repository by using a relay server. An electronic document storage request is received from a terminal of A user(S104). The electronics document storage request includes an electronic signature of the user A, acknowledgement request information of a user B, and an electronic document. An electronic document is stored(S105). It is determined whether acknowledgement request information from another person besides the user A exists in the electronic document. A confirmation of a content of the electronic document is requested based on the acknowledgement request information of the user B to a terminal of the user B(S106). The authentication information is received from the terminal of the user B to confirm the user B(S109). The confirmation of a content of the electronic document is requested to the terminal of the user B. The electronic document is transmitted to the electronic document repository, and it is requested to keep the electronic document(S113). The electronic document includes the electronic signature B of the user B and electronic signature A.
