PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which is equipped with a hinge which realizes opening and closing operation in a new way which has not been offered thus far, without limiting the mounting area of facility in respective cabinets. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal is provided with a first cabinet equipped with a screen display unit and a second cabinet, equipped with an input operation unit, while both end parts of the first cabinet and the second cabinet are respectively coupled with a hinge, consisting of a pair of arm-type members. The hinge is constituted so as to be freely trunable, with respect to the first cabinet and the second cabinet employing the coupling part to the first cabinet and the coupling part to the second cabinet as a support point; while the first cabinet swings in semicircular fashion, while maintaining the condition where the opposed surface to the second cabinet is opposed to the second cabinet, by turning the hinge unit employing the coupling part to the first cabinet and the coupling part to the second cabinet as the support point, when the first cabinet enters the opened condition on the same plane as the second cabinet from the closed condition, while being superimposed on the second cabinet.
