[Class 44] The body of the fastening device of a motor vehicle door is formed from a pair of integral (or interconnected) plates a, b between which the window passes, mounted within the inner and outer surfaces of the door, the slidable bolt e and its projecting spring f being mounted on the inside of plate a whereas bolt-retracting means comprising a bar g and a link h which actuate a rocker i, manipulated by a handle g outside the door and located on the sill of the window frame, are mounted on the plate b. An inside handle t, through a follower u acting on a bolt projection v and fitted with a spring- loaded detent w, may also be used to withdraw the bolt. |
