PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift operation structure of a working machine which enables apparatus arrangement to be suitably carried out in a driving and operating space by devising the arrangement and constitution of both a main shift operation unit and a sub-shift operation unit through the recognition of the operation form of both the units. SOLUTION: The shift operation structure of the working machine is provided with a main shift device comprising a static hydraulic type continuously variable transmission comprising a hydraulic pump for continuously varying capacity and a hydraulic motor to be driven by receiving hydraulic oil from the hydraulic pump. The shift operation structure is provided with a gear type sub-shift mechanism for shifting output from the main shift device into plural stages. A main shift lever 47 for varying and adjusting the speed of the hydraulic pump is arranged in the driving and operating space and a sub-shift lever 28 for switching and adjusting the gear type sub-shift mechanism is arranged outside the driving and operating space.
