<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake with a parking wire load detection means capable of maintaining durability satisfactorily without increasing the size of an actuator with avoiding influence of operation of a parking wire on the parking wire load detection means and its cable. <P>SOLUTION: The electric parking brake comprises an electric motor 1, a worm 5, a worm wheel 17 and the parking wire 15, and is operated by driving the worm wheel 17 with the output of the electric motor 1 and thereby pulling the parking wire 15. Furthermore, the parking brake has a load sensor 14, capable of detecting load applied on the worm 5, at one end side of the worm 5, which receives load by pulling the parking wire 15, and a parking wire load calculation means, which calculates the load applied on the parking wire 15 from the load detected by the load sensor 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
