PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector capable of suppressing the reduction of dust collecting capability even if a dust collecting capacity is made variable. SOLUTION: A tank 4 comprises an under tank 41, an upper tank 42 supporting a filter device 7, and a seal member 43 covering between the under tank 41 and the upper tank 42. The seal member 43 comprises one end part 43A fixed to the under tank 41, and the other end part 43B fixed to the upper tank 42. The threaded part 41a of the under tank 41 engages a protrusion 8D of a screw ring 8. The upper tank 42 is supported to the screw ring 8 by engaging a supporting groove 8a formed on the screw ring 8 with a protrusion 42D. The upper tank 42 moves upwards and downwards when revolving the screw ring 8. At this time, the seal member 43 is deformed corresponding to positions of the under tank 41 and the upper tank 42 so as to always cover between the under tank 41 and upper tank 42.
