PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caisson shaft and its installation method capable of reducing a discharge quantity of excavation earth discharged when a caisson shaft body is immersed, by reducing the cross-sectional area of the caisson shaft body by thinning the thickness of a side wall of the caisson shaft body, for preventing reduction in yield strength and durability by cross-sectional chipping and a crack in a bottom plate and the side wall of the caisson shaft. SOLUTION: This caisson shaft is characterized by having the caisson shaft body immersed in the ground, an anchor anchoring part arranged in an upper end part of the side wall on the outside of the side wall of the caisson shaft body, and an out-fitting regular anchor having the upper end anchored in the anchor anchoring part and having the lower end anchored in the ground.
