The fuel tank (1) has two outlet ports (6, 7) connecting fuel supply lines to a diesel engine and tank, respectively. A temperature sensor detects temperature-dependent electrical signal and has a heat exchanger (9) connected to a coolant circuit over a feed pipe and discharge pipe. A coolant valve controlled based on the signal is arranged in feed and discharge pipes. A regulating valve is arranged in a fuel return line that is attached to the port (7). Filters (22) are arranged within a housing (3) between inlet ports (4, 5) and between the ports (4, 6). An independent claim is also included for a device for connecting a diesel engine to two tanks.
