A key input device for a personal portable device is provided to illuminate an entire keypad with the small number of light emitting device by using a light guide plate. A button region is defined on a keypad, and a light guide unit(120) includes a light guide plate(122) and a light emitting device(126). The light emitting device is placed at a lower side of the keypad, and the light emitting device irradiates light onto the light guide plate. A membrane switch(130) includes upper and lower sheets. An electrode that senses the partial press between the upper and lower sheets is interposed between the sheets. |
