A white organic light emitting device and a color display apparatus employing the same is provided to display a wide color range by determining the optical thickness between an reflection electrode and semi-transmission electrode. A reflective electrode(12) is prepared on a substrate(11), and an organic light-emitting layer is prepared on a reflective electrode. The semi-transmission electrode(17) is prepared on the organic light-emitting layer, and the wavelength of the resonance mode is determined by the optical thickness between the semi-transmission electrode and reflective electrode. The wavelength of a resonance mode is more shorter than that of the most short wave length at a white light spectrum.
