A mobile communication terminal for an event-driven beam projector and an operation method thereof are provided to offer a useful interface to a user by controlling the operation of a beam projector according to a received event. An event receiving part(110) receives one or more events from the inside and outside of a mobile communication terminal. An event-projector operation mapping/recording unit(120) records operations of the beam projector corresponding to each event. A controller(130) receives at least one event, and searches information about the operation of the beam projector, corresponding to the event of the combination of events, from the event-projector operation mapping/recording unit. A beam projector driving part(140) includes the beam projector(145), and drives the beam projector according to the searched beam-projector operation.
