SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING LOCATION INFORMATION OF MOBILE TERMINAL

A system and a method for providing the location information of a mobile terminal are provided to supply a request/response method of a location service by using an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). A client(10) transmits a location request message which requests the location of a target terminal(60), and a location sever(30) judges whether or not the location request condition setup by the client is included to the location request message. The location sever calculates the location information of the target terminal. If so, the location sever judges whether or not the location request condition is satisfied. If the condition is satisfied, the location sever transmits a location response message including the calculated location information to the client.
